How I rocked my Twists + My Favourite Look

Hey guys, how’s it going? Just want to share with y’all how I rocked my twists in different ways. It was the first time I was getting it done in celebration of my one year natural hair milestone since my big chop. It came out absolutely nice. When I first decided to have it done, I figured it would just be a protective to hold my hair up while I was at home and just rock wigs everywhere but honestly, I didn’t see the need to wear wigs everywhere until it got really rough. It was done at the hair center (IG- @thehaircenter_).

From the gallery its obvious I had fun with it. All I had to do was put on some makeup and I was good to go. On one sunday, I swore I was going to use a wig and that church was an exception. By the time I dressed up, however, I looked so complete and didn’t feel the need to add the wig. In fact, everyone at church loved it. My absolute favourite look I want to talk about today however is this. IMG_0972I was going out on a date and I thought of doing something fierce to make up for the rather simple hair style I thought. So I opted for lightbulb level glow and loud lipstick and a faux septum ring.

How I achieved this look:

Face: I primed with La girl hd face primer, Elf Shimmery Facial Whip, Mac Prep and Prime Fix+ Spray.

Foundation- Milani two in one foundation in Amber, Sacha buttercup setting powder and Milani Mineral powders in warm.

Eyes: Used “Mimosa” from Anastasia Beverly Hills glow kit in gleam on the lids, Maybelline powder in Cacao for the crease and Nyc liquid liner for the wings.

Lips: Magnolia Matte Liquid Lipstick in “bam”

Glow: Anastasia Beverly hills glowkit in gleam.
