Hello guys, I’m going to be sharing with you yet another tutorial look I created. Dijasglam is an Abuja based makeup artist. I connected with her after I watched her takeover also on Naijabestmua platform. She is really passionate, humble and has a thing for dramatic looks. I was interested in connecting with her audience so I took over her makeup snapchat for a day and honestly it was such a great time I had.
As usual, I created 2 looks for this takeover. One everyday glam and a dramatic, editorial glam.
this was a pretty easy one for me cuz its practically my favourite everyday look.
I moisturized using my spf50 sunscreen from Dr Sun then primed with my everyday La girl Pro Prep HD primer.
I didnt wear any eyeshadow or any dramatic eyeliner. I kept things nude and simple.
Brow product: Yangabeauty browlutions
Liner: Maybelline colossal kajal
Lashes: Pearl luxury Lashes in “sultry eyes”
The classic WOC nude lip of brown liner and nude lipstick does it for me every damn time. I decided to add a touch of gloss ;).
Lipstick:Wetnwild beauty in “bare it all”
Lip liner: La girl Cosmetics liner in “deepest purple
Gloss: House of Tara 2 in one lip gloss
Foundation: I decided to use my new found love, the Zaron face palette which contains several shades of cream to powder foundations for women of color. The foundation goes on smoothly just like your skin and ensures a natural, effortless complexion. I so much love cream to powder foundations now and wonder why I slept on them for so long.
Concealer: I used the orange corrector in the Mac conceal and correct palette to correct any visible spots after wearing foundation.
To highlight, my Fave highlight concealer La girl pro concealer in “Warm Honey”
Setting powder: Sacha butter cup per usual to bake
Contour and highlight: Sleek contour kit and then layered the highlight with a random loose powdered bronzer (its lit!!)
Did someone say drama? I saw this look on one of my favorite teen makeup artists Haylie Anise and I got literally obsessed with it. I decided this takeover was a great opportunity to try it out for the first time (yeah I’m a risk taker). Rhinestones instead of glitter? I’m totally here for this!
I wanted a very lumionous, glowy skin as opposed to the first one. here are the products I used:
Moisturizer: Grapeseed oil.
Primer: Elf cosmetics mineral infused primer in Radiant Glow for that dewy and luminous touch
Illuminator: I went over the high points of my face with th Elf Shimering Facial Wip in Golden Peach after priming.
This was the center of the whole look so I firstly primed using my warm honey concealer and set with sacha setting powder then went in with the crease color using eyeshadow before laying rhinestones on the lid.
Brows: Yanga beauty Browlutions to trace out the brows. Filled in with the hegai and esther brow pomade in “nubia”.
Eyeshadow: House of Tara palette in Magaret Ekpo for crease and lower lash line
Lashes: Lashed by BM 3D Mink Lashes in “Methis”
Liner: Lash line was lined using Inglot gel liner in#77
I created 3 lip looks just because… and I was in an experimenting mood. My favourite was the vampy lips however.
Lip 1: Hushbeauty Metallic Lipstick in “Foy”
Lip2: Wetnwild Beauty lipsctick in Cherry pickings
Lip 3: Mac Satin lipstick in Media
Complexion: After skin prep, I used the Revlon colourstay matte liquid foundation in Caramel.
La girl proconcealer in warm honey to highlight and the darkest shade in mac conceal and corret palette to cream contour.
Powder: Zaron cosmetic face palette to set highlight and contour.
Setting powder sacha butter cup
Highlighter: Anastasia Beverly hills glow kit in gleam
I actually bought the rhinestones from a local tailor about a year ago. It’s what they commonly use to stone fabrics. I decided to use them to spice up this look and worked really well. I used lash glue from Zaron to stick them to my eyes and other areas.
That is all for the Dija’s glam Snapchat takeover. The reception was so humbling I couldn’t believe it. The viewers were mainly northerners and it was a whole new exposure for me as I am based in the southwest. They were so nice, eager to learn and honestly it was all good vibes there. I would love to do more with that audience more sooner than later.
Okay lovers, I would be back with more creative looks for you all. Stay tuned.
You know you love me, xoxo.
