Hello guys! Long time no post. I want to share with you review on certain products in a line I have grown to love and cherish.
I got in contact with some of their sales representatives last year and I got to see their catalog and sent for samples.
The PSK brand is divided into Makeup, Skincare Fundamental and Mask.
Their skincare products are divided into about 5 categories.
- Deep Sea Source Extraction Series
- Skin Purifier Pore Clarifying Series
- White Recovery EX/ Revive Brightening Series
I would be focusing on the skincare products myself and others tried out from the initial samples in this post. I’m going to be talking about how I used them, how effective they were, their ingredients and many more.
- PSK Intensive Hydra CREAM
This is a holy grail for dry and sensitive skin. It is a moisturizer like no other with ingredients such as shea butter, cappacu, carrageenan extract and D-panthenol. I particularly enjoyed using it in the dry season where I needed the richness of the cream. It doesn’t clog pores and is hypo-allergenic. It is also a great makeup base. It has a great similarity to the famous embryolisse lait crème in the way it gives a luminous finish to the skin which makes it great for editorial makeup looks.
- PSK Skin Purifier Pore Clarifying Lotion
This is still my absolute favorite product from the brand. I honestly wasn’t expecting much from it being that it wasn’t an acid toner or anything elaborate. However, it changed my entire skin while I used it. It contains Niacinamide which is a holy grail ingredient that works great for sebum and pore control, brightening and even inflammation/ break out. It also contains chamomile extract, pearl powder, sea salt and of course, hyaluronic acid….
Basically, this product takes care of pretty much any issue that could affect oily to combination skin.
It has a very liquid consistency and is very light. I always apply using the seven-skin method during the day and on nights I’m not using my acid toner also. I have emptied two bottles of this product am currently about to start my third bottle and I have no regrets with this product.
This is another amazing product from PSK. I was particularly fascinated with it because its not like any product we are used to around here. It is neither a cleanser, a scrub or a mask. It starts off as a gel consistency and as you massage into your skin, it turns into microbeads that exfoliate and polish the skin.
Its key ingredient is coenzyme Q10 which is a great antioxidant and anti-aging ingredient. The product gives an immediate brightening and polished look to the skin after each use.
I love to apply when I have an event and I want my makeup to glide on flawlessly because the effect is just too great to let it go to waste. Pair it with the intensive hydra cream and a sheet mask for that great makeup application.
It is great for all skin types, non-abrasive and a great physical exfoliation alternative. I believe it takes away the stripping and harshness that comes with physical scrubs and the sensitivity and irritation that could arise from using chemical exfoliants.
This is double cleansing at its finest. It is a mineral oil based product that melts and emulsifies makeup when applied. I honestly was wary of the product because of the mineral oil and the bad press it usually gets. Putting it on my face felt like I was taking a huge risk but eventually im so glad I tried it.
It doesn’t clog pores or irritate my skin in any way, it contains fragrance from rose essential oil and it just has this luxurious feel to it. It honestly softens the skin and leaves it feeling so smooth and plump.
While it is a rinse off product, it sure does feel super nourishing and it is ideal for all skin types. It is excellent at taking off every trace of makeup on the skin.
After the second cleanse with a normal cleanser, there’s hardly any chance of residual makeup on the skin
I was super excited about trying out this one as it came in at a time where I still had some post acne marks and as the name suggest, it was going to help get rid of them. Looking at the ingredient list, it had a great array of whitening agents such as Alpha Arbutin and Kojic acid. It is also greatly moisturizing with hyaluronic acid and squalene oil. I immediately adopted it as my daily night cream.
Just like other products from the brand, irritation and harshness weren’t a worry for this product, it was a tad to oily for my skin type but still great and did not clog pores.
I would say overall using it did greatly for evening out my skin tone, clearing sunburns but needed to be paired with the Vitamin C serum for targeted spot removal.
This was another product from the brand I initially had reservations about because of the heavy fragrance I perceived. I believed it was going to be super irritating and I had never used a vitamin C serum before then. I decided to apply on my body instead and for weeks I paired it with my Arami Essentials Glow body oil at night and it gave great brightening effect on my skin.
After a while I grew some balls and actually used directly on my face in the mornings. Within 2-3 months of use, I noticed I had little to no acne marks! Using it with the cream and the Pore clarifying toner worked great to clear out my skin.
Its key ingredient is the Ethylated Ascorbic acid which is the most stable derivative of vitamin C which could be stable in oil, water and light and even air!
So, you don’t have to worry about oxidation with this one and that was a huge plus!
It has however been discontinued and improved to a spot corrector serum which still contains Ethylated Ascorbic acid and now in combination with tranexamic acid which has been proven to lighten dark spots
This was another product I totally enjoyed. It wasn’t my fave, but for that time, it was a breath of fresh air for me who normally doesn’t find the perfect moisturizer. It has a very light consistency, almost too light that I didn’t really like but it wasn’t pore-clogging and it was nourishing. It contains 3 ceramides and patented ingredients.
I initially used it as a daytime moisturizer before I ran out of the white recovery cream then switched to night. I found it not so necessary under sunscreen because of my oilier skin type and moisturizing formula of my then sunscreen so I only used occasionally. I also preferred the hydra cream underneath makeup to it.
Switching it to the night time however made me use it more regularly and it turned out to be great for skin barrier building and hydration. I however prefer the pore balancing cream which is a gel like consistency, less oily and super light that I could comfortably use under sunscreen and makeup. They contained very similar ingredients but the cream was more hydrating able to lock in hydration for up to 72 hours. It is arguably the best moisturizer I’ve ever used.
That is all the products I would be reviewing today, hope I’ve been able to shed some light on the brand and products. Other products they have include sheet masks, facial night jelly, revive brightening series, AHA Pearl Cream and so many more.
